Istilah Perhotelan Dalam Bahasa Inggris

adjoining rooms = dua ruangan kamar hotel yang bisa terhubung oleh sebuah pintu. Contoh : We can book your grandfather in an adjoining room.

amenities = fasilitas lokal seperti restaurant dan toserba. Contoh : The hotel close to all of the amenities.

attractions  = objek wisata, atraksi wisata. Contoh : The museum is the most popular attraction in my city.

baggage = barang bawaan. Contoh : You can use a cart to carry your baggage.

bed and breakfast = jenis penginapan semacam hotel kecil. Contoh : They book us into a beautiful Bed and Breakfast near the beach.

bellboy = karyawan hotel yang membantu membawakan barang tamu hotel. Contoh : Our bag were carried by the bellboy.

book = booking, memesan kamar. Contoh : He books us a nice room on that famous hotel.

check-in = mendaftar dan menerima kunci kamar hotel. Contoh : We can’t check-in yet because they still preparing the room.

check-out = mengembalikan kunci dan membayar tagihan. Contoh : You can check-out any time before 12 o’clock.

complimentary  = gratis, sudah termasuk tagihan hotel. Contoh : All of rooms have complimentary snack and drinks.

damage charge = biaya kerusakan yang disebabkan pengunjung. Contoh : The hotel will have to add a damage charge for the hole he puts in the wall.

deposit = uang sewa kamar hotel yang dibayar di muka. Contoh : We will not receive our deposit back if we cancel.

double bed = kasur ukuran besar. Contoh : We need a room with double bed.

extra bed = kasur tambahan. Contoh : When John stayed with his friends that night, they called the hotel staff for an extra bed.

front desk, reception = resepsionis. Contoh : All check-in and check-out only can be proceed through front desk.

guest = tamu hotel. Contoh : The swimming pool are for guests only.

hostel = hotel kecil dan murah biasanya untuk backpacker. Contoh : You will have to share a room if you stay in a hostel.

hotel manager = manajer hotel. Contoh: We complained to the hotel manager about air conditioner in our room.

housekeeping, maid = karyawan hotel yang bertugas membersihkan kamar. Contoh : The housekeeping cleans our room every morning.

indoor pool = kolam renang dalam ruangan. Contoh : We can use indoor pool until 9 pm.

inn = istilah lain untuk hotel. Contoh : Last month we visited Bandung and stayed at a small inn.

jacuzzi, hot tub, whirl pool = bak untuk berendam. Contoh : Our room has a personal hot tub.

king-size bed = kasur ukuran besar. Contoh : We need a room with king size bed.

kitchenette = dapur mini. Contoh : Our room has a kitchenette so we can prepare our breakfast.

late charge = biaya keterlambatan. Contoh : We will be charged a five dollar late charge for checking out after 12 am.

linen = seprai, selimut, sarung bantal. Contoh : The housekeeping change the linens while we are out of our room.

lobby = lobby, bagian depan hotel dekat resepsionis. Contoh : She ask me to wait in the lobby.

luggage cart = kereta dorong pembawa tas dan koper tamu hotel. Contoh : The bellboy carried our bags with a luggage cart.

motel = motor hotel, hotel kecil tempat persinggahan pengendara. Contoh : The motel was close to the mountain.

parking pass = karcis parkir, tanda bukti parkir. Contoh : We have to return our parking pass when we check out.

pillow case = sarung bantal. Contoh : Ted accidentally spill coffee on the pillow, so we have to ask a new pillow case.

queen size bed = kasur ukuran besar tetapi tidak sebesar king size bed. Contoh : We were offered a room with queen size bed

rate = tarif hotel. Contoh: The hotel rates change depending on the season.

reservation = pemesanan. Contoh : They made a reservation but it doesn’t appear on the computer system.

room service = layanan kamar. Contoh : If you need food or drink in your room, you can call room service.

sauna = fasilitas relaksasi dengan uap panas. Contoh : Bringing food are not allowed into the sauna.

single bed = kasur untuk satu orang. Contoh : The single bed room is fully booked.

sofa bed, pull-out couch = kasur yang bisa dilipat jadi sofa. Contoh : Our room contains a sofa bed.

valet = karyawan hotel bagian parkir. Contoh : The valet parks our car as soon as we get out of our car.

view = pemandangan. Contoh : Our room has a magnificent mountain view.

wake up call = panggilan telepon sebagai alarm bangun pagi. Contoh : We as the hotel staff to give us a wake up call at 5 am.

weight room, workout room, gym = ruangan fitness, ruang olahraga. Contoh : This hotel doesn’t have a gym.
