Mia : I’m Mia. What’s is your name?
Dian: I’m Dian. Nice to meet you too.
Mia : Nice to meet you too, Where are you from Dian?
Dian: I’m from Indonesia
Mia: Oh, Far there.
Dian : Yeah. Are you from America, Mia?
Mia: Yeah. I live near here on Oak Street.
Dian : I’m new in your country. Do you mind if you hang out with me to wander around America, sometime?
Mia: OK, I don’t mind.
Dian : Do you live with your family?
Mia: Yeah. I live with my parents and my uncle.
Dian : In an apartment?
Mia: No, our house.
Dian : Ow, great. I’m alone here.
Mia: Really? How brave you are.
Dian : That’s okay. I’m studying here. I have to be brave to stay alone.
Mia: So, where are your parents?
Dian : They’re in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Mia: Both of them?
Dian: Yeah. And I have two brothers. They have gotten married. They live in Surabaya now. It’s far from Jakarta.
Mia: Nice, Dian. Can I drop into your boarding house sometime?
Dian: That’s fine. I’m waiting.
Do You Have Siblings?
Mia : Do you have any siblings?
Dian: Yes. I have a younger brother. What about you?
Mia: I have quite a big family with 2 brothers and 2 sisters!
Dian: Wow, a big family… I’d have liked a sister too.
Mia: Yes, my sisters are very nice. They’re kind and smart. I feel lucky to be their brother.
Dian: What a nice thing to say!
My Grandparents.
Mia: So you were gone visiting your grandpa last weekend?
Dian: Yup! My grandfather must be in his late 80’s and he’s very active.
Mia: Wow! That’s great! What about your grandma?
Dian: She’s a very sprightly old woman too. In fact my grandparents from my mother’s side are pretty healthy and active themselves.
Mia: That’s really good to hear. Your folks know how to take care of themselves.
Dian: Yeah, our family eats right and exercises. That’s why we’re healthy.
Mia : Proud of Your Family Member.
Dian : Where’s your younger brother these days?
Mia : Well, John got admitted to the medical college in NY. He’s going to be a doctor.
Dian: Really? You must be so proud of him.
Mia: Yeah, I am. My old man was a carpenter, and I got into the same profession, but little Johnny’s always studied hard. He’s going to bring credit to the family name.
Dian: So happy for you Mia!
